Tiana Kendrell is a strong, strong woman. She is only 16, yet has been through so much and never lets it beat her down. She refuses to let the hungry world chew her up. However, the summer marks the anniversary of which her mother left 5 years ago. She was only 11, going through her first year of middle school, coming home on a regular Tuesday afternoon and suddenly it became the date of which her world crumbled as she knew it. Life has gotten hard, but she swears to never become like her mother. Destroy and abandon decades of memories for a younger, newer excitement. But, speaking of, something in her life by the name of Dove Woods is about to become new and exciting. But it will not start that way.
