A particular Hivewing, Caterpillar's brother, has just sparked something in her heart, something she cannot resist. Eight has lived semi-contentedly for years. All she has ever wanted is to find a way she can obtain happiness while fulfilling her duties as a Worker of the AntWing Colony. So far, that plan has been going swimmingly. Which is to say horrible, because as a dragon who's never even seen the sun (let alone a body of water), Eight can't swim. When her section of Workers reaches maturity they are tasked with a new job: one Eight does not agree with. They have to sire a new generation of Workers for the Colony. "But Mudwings and Skywings are our enemies! And the Skywing could be a spy for all we know!! He looks just like a Seawing!" "Is he ok? The strange blue dragon has been muttering in his sleep. The twist is that the Skywing is James, or Phoenix in this story. I'll be keeping Glory in bc I don't wanna leave out our sassy Rainwing queen, and also bc plot. Of course, there will be plenty of things that will change, which you will see as the story progresses! Keep in mind that characters may act OOC (Out Of Character) to fit my writing style, so I don't want to see any of you yell at me about it. If you have a problem with this then either be nice about it or leave the book. Small heads up: This will contain spoilers for the first 5 Wings of Fire books from The Dragonet Prophecy to The Brightest Night. If you have not read those books yet I suggest you read them, but otherwise you are free to read this. She and her friends were destined to end the War of HiveWing Dominance. Not that they wanted to. When she and her friends meddle into fate, she finds out her whole life may be a lie. Leafspeaker's life is a lonely one. As a hybrid, other dragons often made fun of her, and rarely included her in anything. On top of that, her father died before she'd hatched, and her mother shortly after. And her only friend isn't who she says she is. I made this a while ago but I wanted to post it here(it's really cringy) The cover looks so weird... let's just say I borrowed some things. I used some other people's ocs because I'm not creative. This takes place in a kind of alternate universe. We have a His Dark Materials ending. I do not own Wings of Fire

A LeafWing who is considered a joke among his peers, gets caught up in the storm of danger he didn't want to be apart of. A HiveWing, immune Wasp's control, fights out for the light that he feels should be shone on the less fortunate. (This was a joint project between me and a friend, Chapters from, Dragonfly's, Cobalt's and Acacia's point of view where written by her, Prologue and Epilogue are shared)
