Memories of a Life That Never Happened

Micaela Ortiz is a seventeen year-old girl who lives in a fishing village in the South of Brazil. She wishes to leave her uneventful hometown in search of a more exciting lifestyle. While that does not happen, she dreams of mingling with the celebrities.

Every December, her town is swarmed by tourists from all over the world, who come for a very exclusive New Year’s Eve party. In 1997, the stars seem to be conspiring in her favor, because she manages to attend the coveted festivity. There, she meets Theo Chuster, son of the mastermind behind the party, Nicholas Chuster.

Despite their differences, Theo and Micaela grow closer. As they spend time together, however, Mica discovers the high society has a dark side. People closest to them constantly plot against their relationship.

And when Micaela becomes involved in a crime, she is forced to fight for her life and Theo’s family can turn out to be either her doom or her salvation.
