Charlie and Blu, two high school freshmen have their lives turned upside down when they encounter Fox, a runaway experiment from the lab Blu's mom works at, who became part fox as a kid. Fox manages to escape the lab. However, when they return to the lab to rescue some others, Charlie and Blu are exposed to the same transformation and become a leopard and a wolf. Now they have to learn how to deal with their new forms and hide their secret from everyone, while trying to get through their freshman year of high school and hiding from an organization that's after them, as Blu tries to find a way to change back and starts to fall for Fox.
