A box filled with audio cassettes, the player still functioning. In these recordings, past lives are in motion, voices from a distance that are unrecognizable, unknown famous people make memories never to be lost. They all tell a story of a place no one talks about anymore.
It all feels like a world forgotten and lost, yet it is closer than you think. The smell of fear hangs like cobwebs over the old recordings, you're not sure whether you're hallucinating about it or not. In these tapes lies the truth about what happened to all the people who are still missing today.
But if you never listened to them, you would never wonder who they are, right?

Baseball, Lightbulb, and eventually Balloon are captured by Test Tube and forced to partake in experiments that slowly get more and more dangerous. Meanwhile, their friends back at Hotel OJ are desperately trying to find them. (Yes, this is another one of those evil Test Tube experiment fics lol) Trigger warnings: kidnapping , torture , psychological distress , unethical experiments , blood descriptions , electrocution , serious injuries (each chapter will have its own tws these are just the commonly reoccurring ones) Inspired by Inanimate Experiments, Experiment 21 & the song Telescope by Cavetown There will be polybrights mentions during the sections at Hotel OJ (or just outside of the lab in general) jic that bothers anyone. (That's Paintbrush x Lightbulb x Test Tube x Fan btw) (Test Tube and Lightbulb's relationship isn't romantic at all after the prologue though dw) Note: This is the first fanfiction I've ever wrote, so it might be a little rough around the edges.
