A Good Omens rewrite from the perspective of the adorable idiot, Muriel.
I am using the character pronouns I think fits the characters. If you feel differently, there is no need to be rude. Everyone has a different opinion.
Muriel is the 37th degree recording Angel scrivener in Heaven. Every once in a while someone comes and asks them something but mostly they are just left alone. Over time though, they find themselves caught up in events as Heaven and Hell approach war.

Tbh this isnt that good yall should go read my good omens one shots those are better "They'll leave us alone... for a bit." That's what Crowley had told Aziraphale, and Aziraphale had trusted him. How could he not? The angel and demon pairing had been best friends for over 6,000 years and Crowley's voice was just so convincing. But oh boy, was he wrong. Mere weeks after the failed Armageddon, Heaven and Hell grew restless. They felt cheated out of a much needed war- a war that the angels should have won. After many days of arguing, Heaven and Hell shockingly came to an agreement- they would host a series of challenges, games if you will, to prove which side was better. When both Crowley and Aziraphale refuse to participate, Heaven and Hell punish them with something so awful that the boys wish they had just stayed on their respective sides and followed the Plan.
