A young journalist named Jack is assigned to cover a series of murders that have been plaguing the city of Detroit. Jack becomes obsessed with finding out the truth behind the Circle and its leader, who goes by the name of Master. He infiltrates the group and meets a woman named Mia, who seems to be Master's right-hand person. Jack and Mia develop a complicated relationship, as he tries to gain her trust and expose the Circle's secrets.
