Thea, a self-isolating Slytherin, doesn't "do" friends. She makes connections that can benefit her but doesn't see the point in getting feelings involved. Her family raised her to see feelings as a weakness, and to do right by her pureblooded family. Toujours pur. Heading to Hogwarts for her 6th year, with the catastrophic revelation that she would be married off to her 3rd cousin, Thea certainly doesn't plan to involve feelings now.
However, she didn't plan for the 6th-year Ecuadorian transfer from Castelobruxo. Tobias, a friendly and charming Hufflepuff, the exact opposite of Thea, meets Thea and becomes determined to be her friend. Thea doesn't make that easy, but Tobias has always loved challenges.
