Long ago, in the time of the dinosaurs, the Earth was invaded by an alien menace called Deboss, the creator/leader of an destruction-hungry army. On the verge of extinction, some of the dinosaurs are transformed into Zyudenryu and banish Deboss and his forces into deep sleep in arctic ice for millions of years. Now, in modern times, the Deboss Army have returned and now intend to commence the destruction of the whole human race. But having prepared for it, Wise Deity Torin gathers the only people capable of helping the Zyudenryu stop the Deboth Army: "the People of the Great and Mighty Lizards/Dragons", which has been shortened to "Kyoryugers" led by a human of extraordinary powers, Daigo Kiryuō, the current chief/king of the Dino Tribe.
