In 410aD the Western Roman Empire is facing a desperate situation. Barbaric populations are pressing on the borders, civil wars are common and the empire is in turmoil.
It's in these circumstances that emperor Honorius decides to withdraw all units from the province of Britain, leaving it defenseless and soon to be invaded by the fierce Saxons.
But what about those who couldn't leave the island?
Tanisius is a former legionary of foreign origins. He remained in Britain after Honorius' order and finding himself in the fury of the barbarian invasions, he will be forced to embark on a journey with the most unexpected company in order to save his own life.
I write this story trying to be as historically accurate as possible, being interested in history and studying it in my real life. Still, i decided to add a small "fantasy touch" to it.
We live in times dominated by great diversity and heterogeneous realities, but so did the Romans in that age. In my story i decided to add anthropomorphic species, mostly wolves, to depict some of the non-Roman populations of this period.
