Since leaving her abusive home Nickolette has been a loner, whether she was unable or just unwilling to form connections with others even she didn't know. That changed after an attempted assault from a malicious man. After biting him in self defense she thought that would be the end of it, but it was only the beginning.
Overnight she found herself dragged into the nocturnal and grizzly secret underworld of vampires. Among this foreign and dangerous society she began to make genuine connections with those who's kind she didn't used to believe existed. But the further she was drawn into this new world, the closer it brought her to her past and the abusive family she attempted to leave behind.
