To Play Heroes

Nicholas Reynolds has been held captive in a pocket watch for hundreds of years by an ancient faction of heroes who believe he's a threat to humanity. Certainly, he is. That's something he can admit to, but the disrespect these heroes have shown to his family, to his name and his people are not something he's willing to let slide. So, when he finally manages to break out of that eternal prison, resulting in a bit of blindness and ferocious wildfires, the only thing on his mind happens to be vengeance. That is until he stumbles upon the family he thought was dead and discovers that the very people who took him have taken his daughter too. Every ounce of vile hatred within him multiples by a 100 and even though he's ready to storm wherever they're keeping her and get her back himself, he knows the only option he has to getting her back is working with some of the the very heroes he hates. What's worse? He has to put up with his wife on top of it.

Arya Monet always believed her family was obnoxiously close, considering they all still live together, but when all of them gang up to try and kill her she's not only forced to throw that idea out of their six-story building window, but also run for her life. On this journey for her life, she discovers that her family is much older than they should be. She also discovers just how they've managed to survive and make money for all these years : demon hunting. When her half-demon (as she's newly discovered) daughter gets abducted by these demon-hunters for ransom, she has to enlist the help of her murderous family and quite literally demonic in-laws. Now, they've all got to put aside their hatred, weapons and satanic rituals to get back the one thing binding them together. So, as long as they're able to do that and Arya is also able to keep herself from killing her husband, they should be just fine!
