A Yuji Itadori Fan Fiction
He's loved, but at what cost?
-
From a young age, everyone knew Kenji was a prodigy, and once he got to high school, his track career took off. He was that kid you had to look out for, someone who would make it in the world. With every road cleared for him, he had it all. He didn't experience a road blockage until his junior year of college, when he went hiking in the mountains. Attempting to save his little brother, he fell off the cliff and broke one of his legs and an arm. Everyone expected his remarkable comeback, but Kenji did something unexpected. He decided to retire from track, and continue with his college life.

Even though people understood his near-death experience, they were frustrated at him for not going pro. But Kenji had his reasons. Reasons he didn't want to tell them, even if he wanted to.

And people watched and loved Kenji from afar. However, Illeyia crossed the line they didn't intend to cross. And it was all because of two words and a dimpled smile: "Hey there!"
