Students are going missing at Redwood Academy for Magic. But one student in particular is aware of a hidden plot, one where some kind of secret society is using the dark magic of some kind of dark, forgotten goddess is turning people to stone. Clio Shade knows this is going to put her and her friends in trouble, but she has her own reasons to want the students to be freed.

You see, Clio thinks one of her friends has gone missing, and was turned into a certain statue in the middle of campus. But she needs help to prove it, and when she seeks out the Fang sisters, something happens. Now, October Fang, the sister to Winter, is missing. But Winter won't give up, not until she uncovers the truth of this secret society and finds out how to free her sister, and everyone else trapped.

Meanwhile, the people who make up this society hidden within the Academy are desperate to ensure they aren't discovered. But the thing is, when Winter and Clio have many friends to help them, they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. And because they have so many friends, if all these students go missing, it'll draw attention.

So what can be done? Will the girls discover the truth of what happened to these students, and why they are all turned to stone?
