"What kind of story would you like to hear today?" I asked as you walked in.
"Tell me something real." You replied, much to my surprise. I tilted my head at you.
"You like fantasy so much, though, don't you?" I asked.
"Yes of course," you said. "I just don't want to become the next record keeper and only know fairy tales."
"Oh, right. Of course..." I said, smiling and letting my mind wander back. Now what would be a good tale to- "Ah ha!" I exclaimed. "I'll tell you the story of my... Let's see... Well it wouldn't be right to classify as their friend... More of acquaintance..." I said. I looked at you. You knew what words were coming, but you still waited for me to say them, for you did like them.
"Now sit down, little one. I'm going to tell you a story."

Illustrated story! Moonwatcher realizes that her choices, which affect her entire future, have not been what she wants and longs for. Where does she belong? Will she always be an outsider? She has no visions of the dangers that await her as she sets out to find answers. Winter has lost hope for the dragon he loves and focuses on his other passion; to scavengers. However, a surprising event leads him to face his past and gives a new direction to his life. Family has always been his worst fear, but he could not have imagined even in his nightmares the situations he will have to face on his journey. This story takes place about 3 years after book number 15. Contains characters and references to events from the three Wings of Fire book series, including the Dragonslayer. So if you haven't read the books, this story might spoil their plot. English is not my language, so you are more than welcome to report corrections in the comments or by email (kuunnousu1 @ gmail.com -remove the spaces). The original story, dragon tribes of Pyrrhia and Pantala, and the story characters are the property of Tui T. Sutherland. Also includes my own characters. I wanted to make the story "real", as faithful as possible to the world created by Tui Sutherland and the original stories. I hope you enjoy the story! 𝙄𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙬𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙖𝙧, 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙨... Decades of wars and unrest have clawed at the sides of Pyrrhia's dragons for as long as they can remember, and the tales of true peace and dragonets of prophecy are simply whispers of the past. Shrike has never been regarded by his tribe as a real SkyWing. His mother fell ill and passed away when he was a dragonet, and his father, a royal SeaWing, was executed by his dictatorial queen as soon as it was found out that he'd had an affair with a common SkyWing. Still, Shrike remains tethered to the Queen and his tribe. Years of lost wars, unfulfilled treaties, and an excessively lavish lifestyle lived by their ruler, Queen Markhor, have left the SkyWing tribe impoverished and starving, and Shrike, the princess's personal bodyguard, has witnessed the consequences of the Queen's ignorance firsthand. A diplomacy meeting with the SeaWings gone wrong erupts in yet another bloody war, and Shrike is swept up in battle before finding himself caught in between the jaws of the political turmoil that seem to be tearing his tribe apart from the inside out. To make matters worse, a prescient warning delivered years before by the continentally renowned prophet, Hereafter, is unraveling before Shrike's eyes, and its exhortations seem like an echo chamber awfully reminiscent of his own life. That coupled with a newfound power in his claws leaves him spiraling and wondering one question: could 𝘩𝘦 be the terror of talons? ✦ Please read the introductory pages! They will be EXTREMELY informative for understanding the basics of Pyrrhia's situation and the timeline leading up to this story. Consider leaving a vote if you enjoy this story! Constructive criticism and other comments are always welcome.

Staying close to the shadows in the moonlit night, she crawls her way in to find the answers. How did she end up in Reef Beach? Who are her parents - and why did they leave her there? [This is Book 1 of The Twilight Star Prophecy Arc] <°*^--------------------------*{O}*--------------------------^*°> The book series "Wings of Fire" does not belong to me and rightfully belongs to Tui T. Sutherland. The world and tribes are all by Tui T. Sutherland. I only own the writing and the OCs I made (Also Reef Beach!). Some parts of the world may be rewritten to fit the nature of this story. They're here. Who's here? "See for yourself. Stay low." I whispered. The two dragons snuck up alongside me, but I sensed Moon and Qibli with her. I heard a soft gasp as Moon got her first look at the enemy. "They look so small." "And what are those things in the water?" Qibli asked. "Ships. Supply ships." I gravely said. "They're probably establishing a beachhead to prepare for operations here." "Operations?" I turned over to face Qibli. "To prepare for war, SandWing. These people are here for war." A squad of 101st Airborne, bound for Japan after VE Day, are suddenly and mysteriously wrecked in Pyrrhia, a land of dragons and adventure. Do they have what it takes to survive and get home? What new and strange rules are to be found in this place? Are they able to face down a traitor in their midst? Or will they drag the war to the peaceful inhabitants of this new place, so that it truly engulfs all worlds? Follow Lieutenant Marvin with his ragtag squad of men; and Moonwatcher, a Nightwing with mind-reading and precognition abilities, in the first installment of the Wings of Honor series! This story takes place after the 3rd arc, and has spoilers for the 2nd arc (books 6-10). I wrote this before the end of the 3rd arc, and have therefore taken some artistic liberties. I did not read any of the arc 3 books when I wrote this, I only gathered information from the WOF Wiki. I do not claim ownership of the Wings of Fire book series by Tui T. Sutherland and Scholastic. This is a fan fiction series. Part 1 of 6 of the Wings of Honor Series.
