Ivory (Ivy) Law was born with the power of pyrokinesis. The ability to control fire. However, it has haunted her life in the worst way possible, she can't control it. No matter how hard she tries. Whenever she gets to upset, scared, nervous, frustrated, or any negative emotion, she bursts into flames, damaging and killing anyone within its reach. The recent incident at her school caused her to get set off to Nevermore Academy, a school known for holding 'Outcasts.' This school's mission is to make Outcasts feel welcome and feel like they belong somewhere.

With her parents being scared of her abilities, she gets sent off to Nevermore hoping this place will help her control her powers, maybe being around people like her will help.

At this new school, she bumps into Xavier Thorpe. The schools very own tortured artist and psychic with the power to bring his art to life and get dreams/visions of the future. He gets a vision that Ivy is coming, and that for some reason, he needs to be there for her.

Is Xavier the key of Ivy finally learning to control her fire? or will her own fear and emotions take over and leave Nevermore as a burned down memory?
