★ Paranoia

This man was an example of the cruelest outcomes of being human. He once shined with intelligence, kindness, and love, but the universe had reached out to crush his head against the pavement, leaving him bleeding and broken. He was now tortured in his mind; hollow from everything he'd seen and dealt with, and to cope, he brought the same pain to everyone around him, whether it was intentional or unintentional. The light inside him had been lost, never to be seen again.

And this turtle was an example of the consequence of living a lonely existence. Thrown into abuse, torture, and dehumanization from the very beginning, yet remaining soft-hearted and kind through it all because of his one companion. This companionship held his integrity, his happiness, and his entire existence. To lose his partner would be to lose himself. It was a pathetic dependence that kept him roped into this from the very beginning, and would keep him here until death would finally come to claim him.
