The Ethereal Beauty of Dorian Gray

Oscar Wilde went to jail in 1895 for engaging in romantic relationships with another man. His literary pieces of work are also limited due to the lack of freedom of speech during the 19th century, widespread homphobia and lack of audience.

'The Picture of Dorian Gray' is a clear example of Oscar Wilde being limited because of societal pressures. Us being in the 21st century, we can easily pick up on the subtle hints of homosexuality in this book. However, it could not be fully explored. This book, 'The Ethereal Beauty of Dorian Gray' is a queer twist to the original story. My story is not authentic and some characters may seem different compared to the original text. If you are triggered by homosexuality, I highly recommend not to read this book.
