In her escape from an arranged marriage, 20-year-old human princess Stella finds herself facing an entirely new set of challenges beyond the thorn wall separating her father's kingdom from the fae realm. A moment of terror and desperation drove Stella to make a deal with a witch in order to live beyond the wall, but it comes at the price of her soul in three months' time. Political maneuvers and shady dealings cannot be escaped, even in the kingdoms of the fae. Pestilent monsters, disappearances, and tensions plague her new home as she attempts to find a way to overcome her deadly contract.
