Heatwave and Quickshadow have just moved to Fort Worth Texas. They got a house with more than one bedroom. It is a good thing to because they are expecting their first baby. Heatwave is a firefighter who now works at a local firehouse. Quickshadow is a pediatric nurse who now works at Cook Children's Hospital. Soon on November 7th a baby boy was born. They named him Hot shot. They loved him very much. Hot shot was growing into a highly active and healthy child. However shortly after his fifth birthday Hot shot starts to feel unwell. He has a headache that won't go away, he was nauseous, he was vomiting, he was kind of cranky and this morning he had a seizure. His parents take him right to Cook Children's hospital after the seizure to help him. The ER doctor sends them to the specialty clinic to see a special doctor. Tests are done on him. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma a type of brain tumor that is brain cancer, the most common solid cancer in children and the most deadly. Hot shot is brave and ready to fight his cancer. Hot shot befriends four other kids in the hospital his own age with the same type of cancer.
