(This is an au set in the year 2025 where the events of season 4-5 never happened. Ladybug and Catnoir ended up defeating Hawkmoth, uncovering his identity, and sending him to prison. But, in the process, they lost the butterfly miraculous as well as the peacock. Marinette is still the guardian though, and she has the rest of the miraculous.) 

There had been peace in Paris for almost ten years since Hawkmoth was defeated and discovered to be none other than Gabriel Agreste, famous fashion designer and business mogul. It seemed Ladybug and Catnoir vanished after that, as no one had seen them since Gabriel had been sent to prison. But now, on the night of a very important fashion show, hosted by Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the fashion designer that took Gabriel's place as most popular once he was arrested, someone gets akumatized! No one knows how or why, but when Ladybug and Catnoir, older and more skilled, show up again, things get weird. Will they be able to defeat whoever this new, strange butterfly miraculous holder, who goes by the name, Papilion is? Or will Paris live in fear once more? And besides that...it seems ladybug and Catnoir have some unfinished business...All Rights Reserved

The King and Queen had to move away from China when Marinette, their daughter, was born because of other duties that they had to do in Paris. 14 years later, Tom and Sabine drop the Princess bomb on Marinette and they have to leave to go to China to let them know that their daughter will be returning and will be the next Queen in line. Meanwhile, Miss Bustier has organized a trip to China for the week to see the Royal Families return and is offered to stay with them and have a meal to meet the princess. Marinette's parents knew about this and told Marinette. Marinette's parents also told Marinette could tell Alya and as she would be the lady in waiting. Hawkmoth follows the class to China blah blah blah akumatises people blah blah and then a huge ass fight goes down between Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Hawkmoth. Hawkmoth is defeated and Marinette's secret of her being ladybug gets out. Her parents are shocked and angry and happy at the same time but are worried for their daughter's safety. I do not own the characters used in this fanfiction, all character rights go to the creators and producers of Miraculous Ladybug.
