Kate has been stripped of all trust, due to an incident that wrecked her life. Fear has taken over her body, as each day seems to get harder and harder, with death calling out to her. Memories of the unforgettably grotesque accident lingers in her mind all the time and she can't find an escape.
Then she meets the curly haired boy, Ashton, who swiftly walks into her life, sweeping her off her feet and helping her. He heals her better than any anti-depressant could and with him she feels loved. However, Ashton has secrets and danger is hidden behind his friendly smile. Little did she know, Kate was drowning faster and faster, only for history to repeat itself. He promised her that he'd never hurt her. Turns out promises were meant to be broken. Besides, who would want to risk drowning for someone that's not willing to learn how to swim?
