Miyoku didn't expect much after moving from a small clicky community to a city. She didn't have anyone to call her friend and was fine with it until she meets an energetic and friendly classmate named Ryo who introduces her to his friend group. There Miyoku befriends Merlin, a sophomore who likes to play by the rules. Rosa, a sophomore who is gentle and caring. Kai, a freshman who loves track and basketball. Sage, a middle schooler who adores history. And Kiyoshi, a friendly yet shy middle schooler.
But after the group drifts apart, Miyoku refuses to accept the new reality and struggles to let go and move on. Now all she can do is pretend everyone is still happy and together in her dreams and hopes that one day everything can go back to the way it was. But during the summer before her 18th birthday, an unexpected death of one of their friends brings them all together. As everyone searches for the answers surrounding their friend's death, another friend from their friend group vanishes. Everything will go back to as it used to be, right?
