Sirens' Poem

This is the brainstorm process of a poem I have to write for English on Sirens (from Greek mythology) and since I was having a bit of trouble choosing between drafts and such, I figured I'd see what other people thought. the poem can only be 20 lines long, so reading it won't take to much time. and, some of the drafts are pretty good!

My face Softens as I take in the sight In front of me. Crouching down I see the women peeking up at me with big blue frightened eyes. Her eyes Flicker between me and the doll in my hand. I slowly reach out the doll handing it to her, she flinches back her eyes squeezing shut in fear. I look back to my brothers to see them looking just as shocked. I turn my gaze back to the girl speaking to her in a soft voice as to not scare her. "It's okay sweetheart, we're not gonna hurt you" i reassured her. Before I can blink she is up and running for the door. --- Baby A seventeen year old women who has never seen the outside world. She was raised in a basement by her kidnapper. Captive of the Sea
Those who were taken... They never came back, dragged beneath the waves never to return. Their haunting screams were a symbol of their horrific deaths. Like shadows they lay in wait, the deep blue waters hiding them from view. With sharp claws they attack, Pointed fangs tearing into skin, Eager mouths devouring human flesh. Cally was taken, dragged under the water by one of the vicious creatures. But she was not devoured nor torn apart by ruthless claws--no. She was a captive. ~•~ Water instantly invades her senses. Her eyes sting, her lungs and nose burning. She thrashes, kicks, claws--anything to get away. Her efforts go to waste as her body slowly starts to shut down, the air in her lungs quickly being replaced by sea water. Cally is vaguely aware of arms wrapping around her waist and behind her head before she loses consciousness, submerged in darkness. And so she is taken.
