In a lonely, and uncaring galaxy, Jack Fenway, the younger brother of a ruthless cartel leader, would rather do anything than return to his family. Finding work as a smuggler for Allana Rayker, the most dangerous woman in the galaxy, he is surprised to find his next mission is to transport a mysterious device, retrieved from a crashed ship that was buried beneath the ice of a comet on the edge of inhabited space. But as soon as he completes delivery, Rayker tries to have him killed. On the run and low on options, Jack bumps into a mysterious and talented bodyguard named Urtiga, who claims she can help him disappear. But what is his charming and secretive new protector hiding from him? And what was the package he transported, that has made him the target of a ruthless killer? Worst of all, Jack soon discovers that he isn't getting out of this unless he confronts his brother once and for all.

Kola

Life on Mars can be tough, especially for a space jockey born in Cassani crater, orphaned with no prospects. But Kola Aurora is making do. When she's offered a lucrative transport job to Venus by an old friend, she's game - especially if it means getting her own ship out of the deal. However, things take a turn for the worse when they're immediately targeted by Commissaire Primrose Belcher, a no-nonsense Venusian cop with a nose for thievery and a distaste for Martians. Kola must make her escape before she's dragged into more than she can handle. Cover by David Willicome
