The steps stopped. A lock turned with a loud click, and the heavy iron door groaned open. He held his breath. A figure stepped into the faint light, dressed in black. Tall, broad-shouldered, their face hidden behind a smooth, expressionless mask. A gloved hand reached up and adjusted something on their wrist, a sharp beep filling the air. The pulse pounded in his ears. "Awake already?" A distorted voice filled the space, mechanical yet dripping with something close to amusement. Hyunjin gulped...
