The isolated breeze caressed his face while the ash in his lungs almost confided him. He stared on into the smoke, as the soot almost left him breathless. The once gorgeous house had taken it's last fall. In the distance, he could hear the sirens. They were coming, but the only thought in his mind was the disbelief that this had actually happened.

❅| "Even a vastness can no longer shelter you... or engulf your dream." ⊱⋅ ──────────── ⋅⊰ [UNDER EDITING/REDRAFTING - latest chapter: 13] To reach out for mercy was to open the door for cruelty. To withstand cruelty, one must abandon their humanity. But what remains of a soul after everything else is stripped away? It began with a woman-a sun that shone within the haven of her dreams. Abandoned by the world, Alcestis held no wish dearer than avenging the death of the one who had become her home, the forget-me-not that persisted in her memories. Seeking the one who would answer for her death, she leaves behind the only life she'd known, tracing the trail of her parents-of heroes whose past posed more questions than it ever answered. Guided only by the glow of Glacies, she stumbled upon the doorstep of her past, where only embers of hope were left behind... and where a lone flame sparked anew. Oblivion bloomed in the wake of her footsteps-a void where memories and dreams refuse to let the past disappear beneath the rubble of fallen kings and worlds. But on the edge of the void that bleeds into dreams, where the living brush against the bygone and everything is thrown away... ...What if she dared to dream once more?
