A place where skin and fur were the same thing. "I hope I don't die too many times here." (Disclaimer: I don't own any of the artwork provided or Edge of Tomorrow, CoD AW, All you need is Kill, they belong to their respective owners. Human in a furry war but with a twist. The Furry Fallout: Book 1 - The World After The War (Male Reader x Furry Harem)
***THIS STORY IS BEING REWRITTEN CHAPTER BY CHAPTER*** "War... War never changes." The world has seen many technological advances since the end of the war between Ukraine and Russia, which was both a blessing and a curse. In 2072, a war breaks out between the modern sides of the Allies and the Axis. Americans, Germans and the British Colonies made up the Allies, while Russia, North Korea and China made up the main three of the Axis. The war was at its worst in 2077, when Y/N had just returned from a mission in Russia. He was sent home due to the alleged endangerment of his fellow soldiers; however, this granted him some immunity. His home was in a small town that was populated by no more than 30 people, and nearby was a cryogenics testing facility in the form of a vault. The company that owned it, Vault-Tec, was a government-funded organisation that worked to find ways to preserve human life in the case of global disaster: environmental, nuclear, or otherwise. Due to Y/N's service history, he was allowed into the vault during the nuclear warhead exchange between America and China, and that's where our story starts. Between dodging bullies on the football team and sticking close to his tight-knit group of friends-a boisterous tiger, a cerebral wolf, a free-spirited hawk, and a calm cheetah -Jay is just trying to survive the chaos. Sam, a confident and charismatic ginger shark, seems to have it all. As the captain of the football and swim teams, he's the golden boy of Fur High. But beneath his tough exterior lies a young man questioning everything he thought he knew about himself. When their paths cross in an unexpected way, Jay and Sam form a tentative connection that forces them both to confront their identities, fears, and desires. As the two navigate secret hangouts, awkward movie nights, and moments of startling vulnerability, they discover that their growing friendship could mean something more. But in a school where labels and reputations rule, their bond is tested by peer pressure, personal doubts, and the lingering question of who they truly want to be. "Fur High" is a heartfelt coming-of-age tale about finding yourself, defying expectations, and the beauty of connection in the most unlikely places. With its mix of humor, raw emotion, and memorable characters, this story captures the essence of growing up-and the courage it takes to let others see the real you.Complete
