In an alternate universe where South Vietnam had not only managed to survive past 1975, but thrive as well, a mysterious gate opens up in Saigon.
The year is 1980, the 5th anniversary of the Paris Peace Accords, formally ending the Second Indochina War, and ceased hostilities between the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Vietnam; It was also the 10th Anniversary of the successful coup against Ngo Dinh Diem, led by now-President Nguyen Chanh Thi. Through land and corruption reforms, along with state capitalism, the Republic of Vietnam thrives, it's northern neighbor starting to falter due to unfortunate failures in their land reform systems. Things were looking up for South Vietnam, at last.
However, a strange gate has opened up on District 1 of Saigon, just 15 miles away from the Presidential Palace.

They would eventually start to gain ground through quick adoption of newer variants of their beings and adjusting to counter common military tactics. However, more was needed, so came the introduction of Nikkes, an experimental female soldier that would be the first cybernetic frontline soldier. Even though there were attempts of converting males to such a task, they would become unsuccessful, as it was found out that males were more susceptible to cognitive dissonance and suicide. And so, females ranging from 18 to 30 years of age would remain the main source of Nikkes. As the war raged on, more variants of Nikkes would reinforce or replace the quickly diminishing forces of the world. There would be a significant breakthrough in the Nikkes, with the introduction of the Grimm models of Nikkes. Five Nikkes would be produced by a now defunct company. This squad would be called Goddess. They would be commanded by a special forces Captain Nicholas Miller, and through their first missions, they would further prove the effectiveness of specialized Nikkes and even push the Raptures back some. However, even their efforts would not be enough to stop the tithe of Raptures from encompassing Europe. After many years of fighting, there was one last desperate defense of a structure known as the Ark. Unfortunately, humanity would end up underground where they would spend the next 5 centuries fighting the raptures in smaller scale battles, skirmishes, and special operations.
