Elise was about to starve in the underground when she steals a bag of food from these men in a fancy uniform. As she was caught, one man showed her mercy and told her not to steal from them again. As she looked up at him, the light from lanterns created a bright halo around him and his sharp grey eyes glared down at her. Elise saw him as an Angel. Ever since then, she has been anxiously waiting for these uniformed people to come back so she can see that Angel again.
Although it is a slow burn, I am putting this fanfic as mature content since it will eventually get to that point.
