After the events of the Subspace and the defeat of Tabuu, Samus Aran and Pikachu have settled down in New York City of Samus' universe. The month of Adam's death, which is also known as Samus' mourning month, has arrived. 

However, Pikachu's past comes back to haunt him when a Zarude, sent by Dr. Zed, attacks, and a mysterious mercenary named Zero joins in and steals Samus' Power Suit. 

Now, Samus and Pikachu must embark on a journey to her old home, K2L, which has become desolate after years of abandonment. They have nothing but Samus' Zero Suit, her blaster, and Pikachu's powers to help them. 

What could possibly go wrong???
