Emilia is from a family of ancient magic. She will have to complete the ritual on her eighteenth birthday to gain her magic. But the elders predicted her failure before she was even born but she won't let them stop her. She will prove them wrong and find her magic. The magic that belongs to her.
Cal lives on a nearby farm with his abusive father and grandfather. He becomes involved in this net of darkness and magic when he find an eighteen-year-old girl unconscious in a clearing in forest wearing a white dressed and covered in blood.
The elders say their survival is unlikely.
