Tessa had it all - a gorgeous house, a gorgeous, successful husband, a wonderful life - that all came to and end when she finds her husband cheated on her. She divorces him and moves 500 miles away, never wanting to return to Baltimore again. She finds herself in the quaint city of Portland, Maine where she plans to make a new life for herself.

Max Harrison was born and raised in the city of Portland. He left the state for a short period of time to go to law school, but now owns a personal injury law firm with his childhood best friend in the same city they grew up in. By 28 years old, he had hoped to be settled down with a wife and kids, but his fiance called off their engagement shortly after he graduated from law school. Heartbroken, he scrapped the idea of settling down and put all of his focus and energy into work.

But when Max has to literally catches his new neighbor from face planting onto the sidewalk, he realizes that he may have a second chance at love.
