Quite possibly." People, also potentially his mother, might just say he is fed up. But Arthur Smith fed up with life? Absolutely."

So one day, when Arthur enters a book store with full intention of buying a dull book for his dull life (Probably a manual on how not to be dull, although we shall never know) and spies a curiously titled book, he picks it up. He then buys it, reads it, decides it can't be so simple, and goes on an adventure.
