Salem King was once one of the most sought after playboys. Using his good looks and charismatic personality to woo married women away from their rich husbands in exchange for large sums of cash if he could prove to these women to be the cheating type their husbands thought they were. Once the divorce proceedings were underway, Tulley, his partner, would line up another case and Salem would move onto the next with their pockets lined full of cash and not a care for the line of broken hearts he left along the way.
That was until Susanna Emmitt. A woman who, unlike the others, wasn't the typical run of the mill cheating, rich, snobby house-wife. He had worked harder for her than any other woman and did the one thing he was never supposed to do in a case: fall in love.
Now, with Tulley and King practically a thing of the past and Salem reliving his glory days one glass of Whiskey at a time, he has one last chance to pull himself from the weeds before the mobster loan sharks and debt collectors catch up to him all while trying to find his way back into the heart of Susanna after revealing the entire truth to her and betraying her trust.
