Life in the slums of Mohini, a neon-lit city, is never joyful. Laverna Keres should know, life is never fair for people like her---sinners of The God. One day, Laverna's little half-sister, Trixie, is kidnapped by a messenger of The God.
Because of Laverna's and her family's sins, Trixie would be punished. However, there's a way to save her---signing a contract. Instead of a signature, Laverna will complete a series of tasks to earn back Trixie.
But is The God she knows truly who he say he is?
