While grabbing the Ruby, Metal Sonic sacrificed himself to save the world, making everyone believe him to be gone... However, they did not know that he was sent to an alternate dimension, where he would begin his new life becoming a hero in the SMG4 universe, proving he will be a better hero than Sonic.
The Light In The Dark
This is a Sonadow AU where Shadow is an alien from a different universe. He finds Mobius and tries to become the most powerful... but without anyone noticing him. He is trying to become one of them. Over time, he figures out that Sonic is the quote on quote "ultimate lifeform" on Mobius. He tries to become acquaintances with Sonic so he can learn their culture... as things take a turn. (These characters are seen as young adults. The only child depicted in this story is Tails. So, for whoever may be thinking, I am sexualizing minors. You're wrong. I also will say that this book is heavily emotional and has very graphic scenes. So I advise whoever reads this as well to be very open-minded and aware of the triggers I've listened down.) Sonic the Hedgehog, a franchise with plenty of debated Eras and even more Continuities, some far more dangerous then others for an isekai victim as human as the egg-headed main antagonist himself with no super-intelligence or cheats or systems to speak of. Just meta-knowledge, lots of it, and by extension, plenty he can do with it. Sonic Films? Fine. Sonic X, Boom, and Prime? Manageable. Gameverse? Dicey, but doable. Archie and Fleetway Comics? No thanks. Sonic SatAM and Underground? Better than dealing with any EXEs, still wouldn't even if his second life depended on it. Shame that he has no choice in the matter. At least he can decide what to do after the fact, make the most of this situation he's stuck in. So what to do then? Join GUN? As if. Go the Chris Thorndyke route? Pass. Babysit the cinnamon roll-haired hologram that got carried along for the ride? Meta supposes that, exploiting plot holes aplenty, and causing chaos for all things canon will have to do.
