Warning: Although this book does not portray anything vulgar, explicit or nude its does touch on racism, prejudice and slavery which existed in the 1930s. However Please note that such topics are NOT promoted but instead are there to teach and inform the reader and give incite on how the characters go against the nature of society back then and grow to respect colored folks/black peoples. SO please express some caution when reading or don't read at all if you can't digest these topics.
