Diving into the world of magic and dragons, this is a story of hardships, love and resolve between two souls who inhabit disparate worlds of thought. Their paths, although distinct, are seemingly intertwined under the influence of a mystical tower...

Little Mikhail is a cunning thief who scavenged in the backwater reaches of Gedgate. However, his encounter with a passing knightess has unveiled a terrible revelation: the world will fall into calamity through a mystical tower in the sky. Desperate to escape from his glum life, Mikhail takes part in this perilous journey along with a band of unlikely companions to uncover the truth of the tower.

Haunted by echoes of the Ekkaris War, Alyx, a Spirit Knightess, yearned for the divine embrace of Hveti. Yet, a single act of cowardice, a stain on her honor, had exiled her from her clan and severed her connection to the divine. When she learned about a great calamity, she set out on a new journey to regain her lost honor. Unexpectedly, fate always seemed to bundle her with the most inconceivable companions along the way.

What happens if you fall in love with your best friend? Why does physics class keep factoring into your love life? This novella is loosely based on my own high school experiences... but sort of an alternate version of them. You can only make one set of choices in life, so it's fun to explore what could have been - but wasn't - in fiction. Also, set in 1991-92, this is kind of a period piece now! In some ways it's a love letter to the teen books I read back in the 80s and 90s, in particular those by Ellen Conford and Paula Danzinger. I hope you enjoy it. This story was featured on Wattpad in 2016.
