In a world of high fantasy, adventurers, magic, and mystery, Val is the City's only Private Arcane Investigator, specializing in run of the mill cases: lost familiars, cheating spouses and mundane transmogrifications.  Turns out in a world with dragons and devils, no one really needs the services of an Arcane Investigator.   Val, our struggling protagonist, seems more apt to waste away her days smoking cigars and drinking at the local bar than solving mysteries.  Too bad some offers are too good to pass up.
