In a panic after finding out she's pregnant, 16-year-old Lucca makes plans to stay at her grandmother's house during spring break while she figures out what to do. In that time, however, the Covid-19 pandemic closes in on California, and Lucca finds herself quarantined, along with her boyfriend, foster sisters, grandmother, and her grandmother's two teenage wards. At first the setup is fun, but it begins to spiral out of control as Lucca's plot to keep her pregnancy a secret becomes increasingly desperate, and Lucca's foster sister Gwen becomes entangled in a drug-fueled love triangle. As things get more tumultuous, Lucca is forced to decide between her sheltered childhood and an uncertain future.

She's the new girl, and everyone's obsessed with her. Perfect grades. Perfect looks. Perfect confidence. She doesn't need anyone, doesn't try to impress anyone. Guys want her, girls want to be her, and the whole school watches her like she's some kind of goddess. 𝐒𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 was the definition of control. A quiet perfectionist, she lived her life by a strict schedule, keeping everyone at arm's length. Smart, composed, and flawless, no one could break through her walls. That is, until Nathan noticed her. 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 was naturally brilliant, but unlike Sophia, he thrived in chaos. He didn't need to plan-he simply did what he wanted. And what he wanted was to push Sophia out of her controlled world. He liked the challenge, the fire he saw hidden beneath her cold exterior. Every time he teased her, every time he got close, he saw more of her untapped side-the part of her that was fierce and real. But what Nathan didn't know was that every time he talked to her, he was making her life harder. Her carefully constructed world was unraveling, and at home, she paid the price for letting anyone in. The more Nathan pushed, the more Sophia distanced herself, and Nathan couldn't figure out why. The more he wanted to break through her walls, the more he found himself tangled in the mystery of why she always kept him at arm's length.
