Han Jisung and Lee Felix, both sons to the same mother, but different fathers, who both left their mother because of financial difficulties. Over the course of the years the two lived, they were beaten abused and exploited by their "mother" even at the ages of 23 and 22, the two could not escape the terrors of their home.

Turns out their mother had saved up thousands upon thousands of dollars over those years. After laughing in their bruised and swollen faces, she locks them in rooms before revealing she was going to have them murdered since she "had no use for them" and that they "would be nothing without her".

The two accepted their fate. They have been, for every year that passes by, they knew they'd die, and every year they didn't, the less hope they had of ever being free.
