Snowed in

The small white car sputtered to a halt on the side of the road. Tayler was right at the end of her food delivery route when her car decided to run out of gas. "Come on, come on. Don't do this to me now" She turned the key one more time as a last-ditch effort to get her car running again. All she wanted to do was return to her apartment, take a hot bath, and drink some tea to warm her up after a long day. The engine ticked, sputtered, and died yet again.

Tayler let out an exhausted sigh and let her head fall backward onto the headrest of her seat. Closing her eyes and taking a few breaths to keep herself from crying out of frustration.

A knock came to her window, startling her. She let out a small scream as her eyes fell on the gorgeous man crouched down with a look of concern on his face. A muffled "Are you okay?" flowed from his lips like whiskey. As Tayler opened her mouth to answer a tiny, chubby hand made its appearance from behind the man's head. She turned her key in the ignition just enough the bring the power back to the window and cracked it a couple of inches, "I ran out of gas".

A look of realization and slight pity came over the man's face, " Awe man on a night like this? I have a cabin about 5 minutes away from here if you'd like somewhere warm to stay until the snow passes. We mean no harm I promise." He followed up the last sentence by putting his hands into a surrender pose. Tayler looked at the man and his tiny companion analyzing for any danger. She then sighed and pulled the key completely out of the ignition grabbed her purse, and exited the car. "If I die tonight, at least it was by a cute man and his even cuter baby."
