Elysian Monroe held one conviction above all others: she simply couldn't believe in love. The agony and despair it often brought seemed entirely avoidable to her. She could never comprehend why people would gamble their well-being for something so fleeting, something labeled as "love."
Determined to unravel this mystery, she pursued a career as a relationship therapist, hoping to gain insight into the nature of love. Yet, what she found only reinforced her beliefs; she amassed a collection of facts that painted love as a hollow endeavor. To Elysian, love was ultimately pointless.
On the other hand, Akari yearned for a different kind of freedom. For a decade, her life had revolved around the man she now sought to sever ties with-the father of her child. Exhausted from the emotional toll of their relationship, she found that her sole focus should be on her daughter.
At least, that's what she had convinced herself. But Akari couldn't quite decipher Elysian, and this enigma only drew her in further. As she interacted with Elysian, her curiosity began to deepen, compelling her to explore the layers of the woman sitting across from her-Elysian Monroe.
