Sixteen-year-old Remi is a part of the Civil Sola, a hidden society which practices nature magic. She is assigned a coming-of-age quest to retrieve the lost magical Jewel of Love, and sets out on the quest with her friends. But along the way, she soon realizes the quest is much more personal than she expected. Questions arise about her "half-breed" societal status, her unusual entrance into the Civil Sola, her family, and what this Jewel means for their society as a whole. Remi must fight to protect her friends and herself, navigate a confusing romance, and draw the line between the magical society that she's come to call home and the world of humans which she still feels a part of.

Not only is she bleeding on the inside, she's bleeding on the outside as well. Irma Sveta, a child stuck in a matured 18 year old body; a young woman of Russian and American ethnicity. She's optimistic and jaunty, but doesn't have any real friends. Inside that body sits a mind that remains oblivious to the outside world, confused, mentally strained, and overwhelmed. A heart that has been broken by people that are supposed to be her family so many times she has the feeling that it's the way she's suppose to be treated. Outside of that body remains scars of her abuse from her step-dad, her red hair, and unworldly outstanding features that bullies envy. After her dad died in the Vietnam war, her mother started giving herself up. That's where her step-dad came into play. He was aggressive, demanding, and everything contrary to nice. Although she hasn't seen her family after leaving to college, she still remains somewhat whole. Yet how can something so broken, be so pure? Anais Clair, a 21 year old assassin warrior. She was trained by the best, and has no fear or feelings whatsoever. Or so we'd think. She's direct and never bites her tongue. She's grown up training to be the best and fought in the Vietnam war as an undercover assassin. Although when it comes to the outside world she's clueless and knows not the ways of the social world, she excels and is a sacred warrior when it comes to the spy world. She doesn't like being told what to do or how to do it. She yearns to have the blood of her enemies on her hands and dripping down her samurai sword. One day she goes out to the supermarket to gather food, playing "normal" she tries her best to fit in, but it doesn't go so well. Irma somehow manages to help this young woman. She even decides to take her in. Irma is in it for a friend, but she doesn't know that her roommate is an assassin yearning to do many dirty things to her, things that Irma have never done, things that are normal for the assassin.
The Five Cursed Witches: Volume 4 - Mirai, the Witch of Sight by High_Priestess_Elena
62 parts Ongoing Mature
Mirai comes from a long line of witches who have been particularly gifted in using their inner sight. As such, she's trained her sight from a young age. She's always been a disappointment, however, as the only thing she's ever been able to see is the vague image of a girl. On her 18th birthday, Mirai discovers a mark on the back of her neck displaying the number thirty. From her first proper vision, she deduces that unless she finds the girl before the number reaches zero, both of them will die. Only being able to depend on her less than mediocre skills in seeing the future, Mirai sets out to find the girl before the time is up. Little does she know of the trauma the girl has suffered, nor that finding her is only the beginning. ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence, suicide (happens in the prologue while POV-character has her back turned), rape (happens in chapter 30 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fade to black, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), violent death of babies, some rather bloody scenes, self-harm, extreme guilt. Note that a major part of this story focus on healing from and learning to live with trauma, so though you could potentially read it but skip some specific parts, if you're not comfortable reading something that deals with the listed topics, then this book won't be for you. ---------- This series will contain the following volumes: Volume 1 - Zoe, the witch of innocence (completed) Volume 2 - Crimson, the witch of night (completed) Volume 3 - Morana, the witch of life (completed) Volume 4 - Mirai, the witch of sight (ongoing) Volume 5 - Danae, the witch of light Volume 6 - Rheseis, the faerie of love
Wolves Den by Koda122
21 parts Complete Mature
Remi has always loved the forest, the different sounds, smells, the way she could get lost in it and never have to go home to her non-existent parents. She goes in and out of her life with her best friend everyday just waiting until they're both old enough to leave their small boring town. But one day Remi is attacked, and nearly killed, by a man in the forest. When she wakes up everything's different. She feels something inside her, a power, but she has no idea what happened to her. All she remembers is the man's strange yellow eyes. When three new boys show up at her school, one with yellow eyes, asking her question she gets nervous. And then one night while heading to go get her friend she's taken and thrown into a world she didn't know existed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Remi?" Jen says suddenly. "Hmm?" I hum back. "Do you ever wish you could just live in the forest? Away from everyone and everything?" She looks at me. "Free." We stare at each other for a long time. I see the real meaning in Jen's eyes. Her worries for going home to her overly strict parents. Her fears for the future and the unknown in general. "If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.
