It's the seventh year for the Marauders and everything is just the way it has always been...maybe?
Remus goes to classes, studies with Lily, reads his books, and as of lately... has started overthinking every single interaction with Sirius Black. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a snarky, supportive, confident friend like Padfoot, so maybe this change Remus feels is completely normal, so normal to want to familiarize himself with the dark-haired boy inside and out. After all, that's what best mates do.
Sirius has always had much adoration for Moony. He knows how he takes his tea, he knows his favorite type of chocolate, he knows Moony's cologne scent and his nervous habits. When your best mate is so beautifully complicated and genuine it only makes sense that Sirius wants to know more. he craves to be more. he wants to listen to every word, joke, story, tease, breath, and sound that leaves Moony's lips. After all.... that's what best mates do.
