16 contestants fight to the death to escape the diary they are trapped in, it all seems so hopeless, until two contestants become legendary warriors known as "pretty cure". in order to grow more powerful, the pretty cure need to work together and learn to appreciate each other, they're supposed to be known as best friends. their goal is to free everybody from the diary before W.D. gaster terminates almost everyone. but there's a problem; the warriors hate each other.
