Beset upon barren lands was a curse to halt time. Out of nowhere an outcast--an anomaly in the system--appears. A nameless Painter. He had been painting for who-knows-how many years upon a field of flowers, and he was now set free. He roamed amongst the public, seeing everything yet unseen in some ways. Every time the Storm begun, everything around him was put to a sudden stop--everything except for him. Despite all this, The Painter pays no mind to what is around him--because he did not know his purpose in this world.

The canvas symbolizes the mind. A white canvas is a healthy, normal functioning mind. The colors that get painted on are different emotions. But no matter how much paint is on that canvas, it is still a white canvas underneath. Now when it is a pure black canvas, it is a mind that is tortured. A mind that contains disorders like anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar, PTSD, etc. An unstable mind. :A girl plagued with bad memories finds somebody who she had been looking for all her life. My hand slaps against my mouth as I try to shut myself up. Don't make too much noise...or he'll hear you. A vehicle's door opens then slams shut. I don't hear footsteps...but as the minutes go by I begin to hear them; the footsteps get louder and louder and louder, matching the sound of my thundering heart. That's when I see his shadow cast over the ditch...over the place where I tried to hide. "Well," he says with a smile in his voice. "I wonder where he could've gone...the footprints stop here...so I wonder if he just...disappeared?" My body begins to tremble. I can feel it now. The pain. I can feel the pain already. He jumps down into the ditch...he stands directly in front of me, with his back facing me. My hand presses harder against my mouth as I try to suppress my whimper, but it's way too late now.
