In the glowing City of Neon, technology reigns supreme. The human race has advanced so far that many things have become forgotten, like Cancers, diseases, and even the true concept of Humanity itself. The streets are ruthless as the corporates suppress the lesser fortunate, only making exceptions for cheap work. Everything has a price, and that's why the only way to insure success is by doing whatever it takes by any means necessary. Reaching the heavenly top is everyone's goal, and many are willing to step on heads to get there. It's a merciless world out there... But a rising underdog and a cyber goth babe end up an unlikely pair to aid each other in their struggle. The two end up on the wrong job and well... Shit hits the fan.

This is a mature rated story that sometimes discusses heavy tones of violence, gore, mutilation, sexual nature, and more of the same caliber. If you are uncomfortable with many of these certain topics, please read at your own risk. 

This is a completely original story INSPIRED by the wonderous world of Cyberpunk 2077. I'd like for it to be dually noted that THIS IS NOT by any means an adaptation, fanfiction, or alternative of the 2077 video game or lore. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. With death seeming inevitable for human kind, can nothing stop humanity from extinction? Zero has just graduated from high school with good marks and a scholarship. His family wanted to celebrate, so they said they would wait for him. He went back to grab his wallet, and as he turned around, he started falling in a wormhole, closing afterwards.
