In an alternate universe of Hunter x Hunter, Ging Freecss never left Gon in the care of Aunt Mito. Instead, a much younger Ging abandoned his infant son in the infamous Meteor City-a lawless haven for society's outcasts and discarded souls. It is there, amidst the chaos and ruin, that baby Gon is discovered by a young Chrollo Lucilfer, leader of the notorious Phantom Troupe.

Moved by an unexpected sense of responsibility, Chrollo takes Gon under his wing, raising him as his own younger brother. From this unlikely bond grows a unique family forged in the harsh realities of Meteor City and the underworld that surrounds it.

Creative Liberties and Character Development:
To better suit this darker, grittier setting and the themes of found family and survival, the characters have been aged up slightly. This allows for deeper exploration of mature relationships, moral ambiguity, and the complexities of loyalty within a group often branded as criminals and outcasts.

The personalities of the characters, while inspired by Togashi's original work, are adapted to fit their altered circumstances. Gon's innate optimism and sense of justice still burn brightly but are tempered by the harshness of his upbringing alongside the Phantom Troupe. Chrollo's calm leadership and strategic mind reveal new layers as a brother and mentor, balancing ruthless pragmatism with genuine care. Killua and other familiar faces may also take on new roles or character dynamics within this reimagined world.
